Abortion Cracks the Egg of Human Life

   This picture is all too real for me, as a comparrison between babies & chickens…. Before I moved where I could not have them, I raised chickens for eggs. Being new to that, my friend told me to always check the egg boxes every day. One day I had just collected the eggs, and was putting them one by one in the frying pan. Suddenly, to my surprise and shock, one of the yolks had a tiny, no bigger than my short pinky nail, about 1/4 inch or so, baby chicken. It’s beak was yellow, it had a very clear eye with tiny pink wings & legs, and the beak was opening and closing in a distressed way. Horrified, I grabbed a spoon & pulled it out of the hot pan as quick as I could. Of course I could not save it, and within minutes it stopped moving and seemed to melt into the yolk. I felt sooooo bad, I had unknowingly aborted a baby chicken……I had checked the box everyday, I thought, but maybe the egg was so far under the hen and I had missed it for several days. I just was not thorough enough…… From then on I removed the hen and MADE SURE there were no eggs in the back… … I still feel bad to this day… Babies, & even chickens, are “….Fearfully and wonderfully made” Psalm 139:14b
