Democrats rolled out their new abortion strategy over the past few weeks. It’s a scorched Earth approach that fully dehumanizes its victims through all nine months of their prenatal development. It strips away any and all human rights protections for people living in the womb, allowing their killing on demand until the moment of their birth. This new strategy even permits the killing of these children after they are born if their abortionist failed to kill them in the womb.
While answering questions about HB 2491, a bill designed to follow in the footsteps of New York’s radical late-term abortion law passed on the 46th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, Democrat Kathy Tran revealed the horrific truth of her party’s position on human life.
“How late in the third trimester could a physician perform an abortion if he indicated it would impair the mental health of the woman?” Delegate Todd Gilbert asked.
“Through the third trimester,” Tran responded. “The third trimester goes all the way up to 40 weeks.”
“Where it’s obvious that a woman is about to give birth,” Gilbert then asked, “would that still be a point at which she could request an abortion if she was so certified? She’s dilating.”
“My bill would allow that,” Tran said.
Following this horrific admission, Democrat Governor of Virginia, Ralph Northam, revealed even more of his party’s vile agenda.
“When we talk about third-trimester abortions, these are done with the consent of obviously the mother, with the consent of the physician — more than one physician, by the way — and it’s done in cases where there may be severe deformities. There may be a fetus that’s non-viable,” he said.
“If a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen,” Northam continued. “The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.”
