Pregnancy resource centers aren’t doctors, and they don’t offer prenatal care. They don’t actually do anything to help anyone. Their only purpose is to shame and guilt people out of getting an abortion.

cultureshift:

There are over 2,000 Pregnancy Resource Centers in the United States, outnumbering abortion facilities 3 to 1. Many of these life-affirming non-profits are supported by pro-life medical professionals, including ultrasound technicians, obstetricians and gynecologists. If you don’t believe that providing the following free services to women during an unplanned pregnancy is helpful, then you’ve never experienced an unplanned pregnancy…

  • Pregnancy tests
  • Family counseling
  • STI testing
  • Childbirth classes
  • Ultrasounds
  • Diapers
  • Maternity and baby clothes
  • Strollers
  • Cribs and Bassinets
  • Formula and bottles
  • Financial counseling and job training referrals
  • Adoption services
  • Assistance with applying for government programs
  • Maternity housing
  • Food security assistance
  • Parenting classes
  • Legal referrals
  • Mentoring
  • Employment assistance
  • Community outreach

It’s always baffled me that people like you who claim to be ‘pro-choice’ constantly attack these centers and the people who run them. As upsetting as it may be to you, some women actually choose to protect and birth their children (like your mother did), not kill them. That’s a choice too, isn’t it? Why would you oppose anyone providing women the help they need with a choice they made?

A plea to win the hearts of those who choose to dehumanize our development and undermine our right to live.

  1. Bitch, you are fuckin’ NUTS. I noticed your wording, that you didn’t say you were IMPREGNATED via your rape. Do you not belong to a church, one that can help you financially until your baby is birthed, and then help you place your baby with a loving couple? If not, why the hell aren’t you going to church?! This is NOT rocket science, chica!
