March for Our Lives

Everyone claims they want to protect our children from violence, yet the majority of Americans continue to support the use of violence against children through the barbaric practice of human abortion. Aborting a child makes them just as dead as a bullet from an AR-15. When we examine the sheer volume of violence and the resulting deaths of children, we find that abortion eclipses school shootings by orders of magnitude, yet abortion remains legal.

Those who support the right to bear arms point to the Constitution as the basis for their claim. Those who support aborting children also point to the Constitution. One of these liberties was spelled out in the Bill of Rights, the other was ‘found’ 186 years later with the Roe v. Wade decision. One was intended to protect Americans, the other to harm them. Both claim their right is needed to remain free, but one of these rights intentionally strips millions of their freedom by denying them of their very right to live.

Killing children with guns is illegal, killing them with sopher clamps isn’t. It’s never been about the object, it’s always been about the value of human life. Abortion was made legal in 1973, followed by an exponential increase in mass shootings as our children, who grew up in a society that allowed the killing of children through abortion, became adults. Gun laws have only become more restrictive over the years, yet the use of guns to kill children has increased. It’s not about the object used to kill, it’s about the acceptance of killing.

Until we once again teach our children to respect every human life, we will continue to experience the evil of school shootings empowered by the evil of abortion. Actions always speak louder than words.
