The emotion of losing a child to miscarriage was perfectly captured in this sketch by Curtis Wiklund following the loss of his nine week old daughter. His art was shared with millions through social media and brought healing to others who have also experienced the devastating pain of child loss.
The little girl’s mother, Jordin Wiklund, said, “I love that her life has meaning. In her small amount of existence, look at what she’s done. She had already comforted thousands of grieving parents around the world.”
Curtis added, “I can’t think of anything more special. Her life didn’t just disappear and wasn’t not talked about, which is often what happens with miscarriages.”
This same grief is often felt by those who intentionally end the lives of their children through abortion. After their children are gone, mothers and fathers begin to realize what they have done. Sadly, Planned Parenthood doesn’t offer returns.
Abortion, like miscarriage, is forever. Shouldn’t aborted children also be honored and remembered? After all, their lives hold no less value than the life of any other child.
