Two Precious Lives Lost

Skeleton of mother (between 18 and 25 years old) and baby (about 22 weeks old) 18th century

These are the remains of a pregnant mother and her prenatal child, circa 19th century. This mother was between 18 and 25 years old and her child was approximately 22 weeks old. This tragedy was felt by our ancestors, but these remains serve a purpose that those who came before us could never imagine. They show us something that they already knew — that a child carried in the womb of their mother is a separate living person. Notice the tiny ribs and fragments of skull lying where the mother’s womb once cradled this child. Two people rest here, not one.

Will you continue to allow our species to regress into a culture that denies what is so obvious in an attempt to justify abortion? We are the most advanced life form on this planet, yet the most barbaric. We are the only species that unnaturally kills its own young in the womb, having turned our medical science into a weapon to be used against them. Being born doesn’t give us the right to kill those who are not.
