So I got into an argument a while ago with someone defending the abortion pill taken before the heart forms at 2-3 weeks. Now I’ve been searching for information on how early and how often women take the abortion pill? There is another statement on the fact that pro-life doesn’t aid with unplanned pregnancy or the life of the child after he/she is born. I know this isn’t true because I’ve seen a few sites, even one offering shelter and everything, but I need more info or proof. Do you know of any site that is heavily detailed that can destroy just about any pro-abortion argument?
The ‘abortion pill’, or medical abortion, actually involves two different chemicals designed to work together to kill prenatal children. Mifepristone is given orally to block progesterone from maintaining the uterine lining, causing the lining to break down, suffocating and starving the little boy or girl connected to it. Misoprostol is taken either orally or inserted into the vagina next to the cervix to induce contractions, discharging the baby, usually into a toilet or bedpan.
The earliest a mother will typically know she is pregnant is at four weeks when she misses her first menstrual cycle. Pregnancy tests can detect the hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) as early as four days before the next menstrual cycle is due, or seven days after conception. This hormone is produced right after the child attaches to the uterine wall, or endometrium. Most women realize they are pregnant at about week five or six, long after their baby’s heart has begun to beat. Medical abortions can be used to kill prenatal children up to nine weeks old.
There are thousands of pregnancy resource centers around the world, 2,200 of them are located in the United States. You can search them here. Never let anyone get away with the lie that pro-life advocates don’t support mothers and their children following birth.
