You’re only offering her $2000? You know that won’t help her at all, right? Pregnancy costs at LEAST $20,000 just to go to the hospital and give birth, assuming nothing goes wrong. that figure doesn’t include lost wages, and bills, and prenatal care, and pregnancy clothing, or any of the other costs associated with pregnancy. You might have had better luck in manipulating her out of getting her abortion if you promised her $50,000.

I offered her $500 per month until the birth of her child and then I offered to adopt her child or to help her place them with a family of her choice. I also offered to pay for her prenatal checkups. The monthly stipend was to be saved to get her through six weeks of maternity leave. I also offered to help her set up a Go Fund Me account, which I have done for other mothers in her situation, and to host an online baby shower, which I have also done for others with great success. There are also thousands of pregnancy resource centers, one of which I volunteer at, that can assist. I also offered to help her get established on government programs such as CHIP and WIC in the event she decided to parent her child.

What you also fail to understand is that there is this thing called the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act. She can go to her local hospital and they will give her the care she needs to birth her child. Think about it. How many women have you seen in the street giving birth to their children?

Remember, there are TWO people involved in this situation, only one is facing death tomorrow. Where do you think my priorities should lie?
