Funny, because I’m an atheist. I follow no deity whatsoever. Abortion isn’t a religious issue, it’s a human rights issue. It’s morally wrong for a mother and father to kill their children, whether the killing takes place in the womb or in the crib.

I’m not going to respond to your absurd claim that religious people only fight abortion in order to punish women. I will note, however, that millions of women oppose the killing of prenatal human beings. Not sure if they’d buy in to your punishment hypothesis.

Cool fact: abortions are thought to be wrong because Christians thought woman\'s punishment for the whole garden of eden thing was childbirth so they made it illegal for a woman to have painkillers or abortions because that would be taking away her punishment that she \'deserved\' and now it has just escalated into the craziness it is today ^-^ so one day when religion is out of our culture, abortion won\'t be the controversy it is now :D
