What is the meaning of life?
Is it to selfishly climb over the backs of our fellow human beings to achieve our dreams or is it to selflessly give of ourselves to help them achieve theirs? Each of us started this journey cradled in the womb and after a while we were set free to make our own choices. Should those choices reflect the sacrifices made by those who came before us or should they be used to sacrifice those who follow?
The greatest hope we have is our children. They renew us. They amaze us. And they love us unconditionally. But too often, we abandon them. We sacrifice them. We destroy them. This is a collective choice we have made as a people focused inward. We have chosen to embrace abortion as a means to an end. We have chosen to climb over the backs of our own children out of self interest and fear. This choice has poisoned not only millions of little boys and girls in the womb, it has poisoned our culture.
So what is the meaning of life?
How you answer this question is a reflection of your past and a crystal ball into your future. Death will eventually come to us all, usually slowly and with plenty of time to consider the choices we made. Do you want to look back on those choices with regret and sadness, or do you want to have those choices — your children, surround you with love and hope for the future?
Hope can live or die.
Choose wisely.
