I do have to ask- and this is with understanding your views are your own, you’re allowed to feel how you want about children and procreating- but why must you support a view that forces your own personal view on others? Pro-choice is just what it says- it is not pro-abortion- you have a CHOICE. So why do you think that your own personal opinions on what you think pregnant people should do with their bodies overtakes how they feel about what they do with their bodies?

Because there is no difference between the value of prenatal human life and the value of neonatal human life. You were the same human being while living inside your mother’s womb that you are today.

In Defense of the Defenseless

Once you understand this simple truth, you will begin to understand why we fight so hard to protect the lives of those awaiting their turn at birth. Imagine if Planned Parenthood were allowed to kill children up to 12 months old. Would you then take action to save their lives? Would you stand in front of their facilities and attempt to intervene as their mothers carried them inside to be terminated? That is exactly what the pro-life movement does. You see, a prenatal child has their own distinct body just like you and I. Their location is irrelevant to the value of their life.

In Defense of the Defenseless

The next time you gaze upon a pregnant mother, use your imagination to visualize the other human being living behind the walls of her abdomen. That person is just as real and just as valuable as you are.

A plea to win the hearts of those who choose to dehumanize our development and undermine our right to live.

    1. I am an atheist and I know that killing human beings, no matter their location, is wrong – no deity required. In fact, it’s more than wrong. It’s the killing of a vulnerable and defenseless human being who is clinging to their own mother for nourishment and protection. My little sister was killed by abortion, yet I love and miss her. She should be here with us today. She should have a blog, a family, a LIFE. She was killed out of fear and embarrassment. Her life should have been elevated above all else, as our lives are. What could possibly be more important than life? Would you place your life below the convenience of another? Would you place your life below economic concerns? Clearly, you wouldn’t. So why do you place the lives of others below anything else? It’s easy to be ‘pro-choice’ when you’re not the one doing the dying.

  1. Abortion affects us even if we claim it is as a “common process” like youthagainstabortionstigma claims. I whole heartily agree with you cultureshift. Also, I am a Christian and I find your fight for life inspirational. It maddens me that the church hardly ever even talks about abortion. It’s almost laughable to see the topic mentioned more in this presidential election than a whole year of sitting in a pew. Choosing to be selfish, regardless of your mistakes, is a sin. It leads to destruction. I am sorry about your sister.
