oh-snap-pro-lifers:

This future abortion provider wrote this and provided the following quote in italics. I assume that was because it was either her main or a very important point.

“I provide abortions, and actively take every opportunity to advance my abortion skills, because without abortion and family planning, women will never live in an equal world, let alone rule the world.”

Now, that’s fairly typical, if not a little heavy on the rah-rah for women. But let’s pick it apart.

First, if you see her entire writing, the equality she’s talking about is of two parts: equality in a sexual act and equality in the workforce and politics, or…world-politics?

First, let’s make something clear. Biology allows a man to walk away from a sexual act without consequence. But that makes him a very bad man if he does it. Things like marriage, child support, probate court, paternity tests and a host of other legal and social structures keep men from being able to assert their biological dominance in society in this way. On the more recent trend, flexible work schedules and accommodations for mothers also bring more equality in the workplace from a different angle. One option for equality is to strengthen these institutions to bring equality between the sexes.

The other option, on which this young doctor is focused, is to just make it safe, legal, and easily possible for any woman to be just as dismissive of consequences as the very worst type of man.

Second, keep in mind that people oppose abortion because it kills an innocent person every time it happens. It is not (as this political science-women’s studies major believes) some secret cabal to keep women out of the workplace and back in the home.

And when you realize that THAT is why people oppose abortion, you realize that all this stuff about equality in the workforce just doesn’t hold up. If a necessary step in one group’s effort at equality (as they define it) involves killing hundreds of thousands of innocent people every year, then I’m sorry: you’re not getting your equality.

It’s wrong to kill people to advance your career. It’s wrong to kill people so you can pursue politics. It’s wrong to kill people because they’re sick. It’s wrong to kill people because YOU’RE sick. It is permissible to kill someone in self-defense or to prevent grave bodily harm, but that’s always been the case even apart from abortions. But really, now: how many of the 1 million abortions in America last year were done because of that?

And if you think that a fetus isn’t a person, then that’s nice, but I’ll tell you two things. First, nobody (either pro-life or pro-choice) has ever actually believed that after thinking about it for very long. Second, ignorance is only an acceptable defense if you don’t have the ability to actually find out yourself.

So with that in mind, look back at her quote: “I provide abortions, and actively take every opportunity to advance my abortion skills, because without abortion and family planning, women will never live in an equal world, let alone rule the world.”

Note what she’s saying. She wants to kill babies (provide abortion services) and take every opportunity she has to advance her skills in this area, because if she or someone else doesn’t do this, then other people like her will never be able to take their rightful place in society and rule the world.

That LITERALLY MAKES YOU A SUPER VILLAIN if that’s your modus operandi. You are not the hero you think you are.
