For the same reason they can’t inject heroin into their veins: it not only harms them, but society as a whole. But abortion is even more insidious because they aren’t only harming their own bodies, they are harming the bodies of other human beings.
Abortion does not kill a woman’s body, it kills her child’s body. Killing her own body is called suicide, not abortion.
