Milagros is the daughter of an 11 year old Paraguayan mother who was raped when she was 10. She is only here with us because Paraguay protected her as an equal human being to all other human beings, including her mother.
Sadly, if Baby Milagros had been conceived in the United States of America, she would have been brutally ripped apart in the womb. Destroyed because she would not have been considered an equal among us. Even those who consider themselves pro-life make exceptions for killing children like her. Children they somehow view as less human than those conceived through love.
Someday, all human beings will be protected as equals by the laws of their society. That is a day worth fighting for because baby Milagros was worth fighting for. She truly is a miracle.
