Statistics show that when IUDs were readily available between 2009 and 2013, the abortion rate for girls 15 to 19 years old fell 42%, while birthrates saw a 40% decline among the same demographic. The state reported Colorado’s overall teen birthrate had declined more rapidly than any other state in the US. If you want to end abortion so much, stop closing down medical clinics that provide people with birth control. Less birth control = more abortion.

I fully support non-abortifacient birth control and I am thrilled by the decline in the number of state-sanctioned killings of preborn Coloradan children. In fact, the abortion rate has declined in all but two states nationwide.

But here is where your logic is flawed. An organization, whether a hospital, pharmacy, or non-profit, can distribute birth control without the need to slaughter children in the womb. In fact, Walmart doesn’t butcher preborn babies yet you can purchase birth control at their pharmacy. So yes, I will continue to work tirelessly to shut down abortion mills while simultaneously fighting for full access to birth control. No one has to die to gain access to contraceptives.
