prolifeproliberty:

Children get extra legal protection that is not given to adults because they are vulnerable and unable to care for themselves. That is why parents are legally obligated to provide care for their children.

“I can’t [use someone’s body without consent], so a fetus can’t do [it either].”

Those in favor of killing preborn children struggle with understanding comparative analysis. They can’t wrap their heads around the concept that pregnancy is far removed from any other human experience. They want to believe that a helpless child clinging to life by an umbilical cord is the same as an adult seeking an organ transplant. They are utterly confused about human reproduction and cannot accept that a woman must bear the lion’s share of this responsibility. They fail to understand that killing the children living within them does not make them equal to men, that it actually diminishes what makes them special, even superior, to men. Abortion warps not only the beauty of women, it warps the beauty of life.

A fetus deserves equal rights. So, it can\'t use someone\'s body without consent. I can\'t do that, so a fetus can\'t do that. The methods of abortion aren\'t too pleasant but it\'s the only way to stop them using someone\'s body. They don\'t get special treatment. You\'re not giving them equal rights, you\'re trying to give them extra rights. You\'re saying their right to life trumps the right to bodily autonomy, but for anyone else it doesn\'t.

A plea to win the hearts of those who choose to dehumanize our development and undermine our right to live.
