motherhoodrising:

I’ll be the first to admit I find myself in tears when he holds my hand in his sleep, squeezes my fingers, smiles a little and snuggles closer. When he was a few months old, he constantly smiled and giggled in his sleep, he would hold my entire arm with his two little hands and it was indescribable. But now, he’s intentional. He runs to me for a hug, he reaches out to be held, he lays his head on my shoulder. And to watch this love develop and grow and realize that he’s mine just as much as I’m his is life-changing. It’s difficult to grasp. And I’m trying my very best to hold on to every passing moment, soaking it all up, taking it all in, documenting as I can without removing myself from the present. He’s my joy, I found my joy in him. And these moments, these are the ones we remember forever. – @laureneschenck {Share your moments of motherhood #motherhoodrising}
