Ladies and gentlemen, this is how pro-life politicians need to be handling gotcha questions from the media about abortion.  Rand dropped the hammer on a reporter who asked if he supported any exemptions in his pro-life views.

here’s the video (question starts at 8:00):

Rand Paul is a physician. His father is an OBGYN.  He knows for a fact that life begins at conception.

Many of the talking heads today have been criticizing Rand Paul for his prickly interview on CNN this morning.  Quite frankly, I’m glad to see Rand refusing to pull punches when it comes to the media’s double standards. Too many Republicans try to become buddy-buddy with the media, hoping to boost their election chances, but it never works out.

I like it.  Put the ball in the other team’s court for once.  Keep the media from playing gotcha all the time.

UPDATE:

It would seem that Debbie Wasserman Schultz responded in typical amoral liberal fashion:

Here’s an answer. I support letting women and their doctors make this decision without government getting involved. Period. End of story. Now your turn, Senator Paul. We know you want to allow government officials like yourself to make this decision for women –– but do you stand by your opposition to any exceptions, even when it comes to rape, incest, or life of the mother? Or do we just have different definitions of ‘personal liberty’? And I’d appreciate it if you could respond without ‘shushing’ me.

A 7 pound unborn baby abortion is a woman’s decision.  Can’t get much clearer than that.  I know plenty of pro-choicers that are even disgusted with that notion.  But it gets worse.  She also seems to not mind government intruding into every facet of our lives…just not when it comes to a woman’s “choice.”  I hope Rand does answer back this way…
