You’re right. Women will continue to hurt and kill their children, whether it’s illegal or not. And people will rape other people, whether it’s illegal or not. And murder happens every day, even though it is illegal. If no one broke the law, we would need no judicial system.
Pro-lifers are aware that criminalizing something does not eradicate the problem entirely, because there will always be people who are willing to break the law to hurt others. We have to change the laws AND change the culture we live in. Sex education needs and overhaul, yes, and access to birth control is important, but keeping abortion legal does nothing to improve those things. Even if it did, the root of the whole issue is that abortion kills humans. For that reason alone, it needs to be criminalized.
I don\'t understand pro-lifers priorities. Women will continue to have abortions, whether it is legal or not. Just as many fetuses will be aborted, but more women will die in the process. The way to prevent abortions is to support sex education and birth control.
