650 BABIES EUTHANIZED IN THE NETHERLANDS EACH YEAR UNDER RIGHT TO DIE LAW
Just over a decade on from assisted dying being legalized in the Netherlands, as many as 1 in 33 Dutch people are thought to have died this way, including 650 babies a year, euthanized so that their parents don’t have to witness them struggle with disability or disease. The escalation in death by euthanasia over the last six years has led one Dutch ethicist, who had been in favor of the law when it was first passed, to warn “some slopes truly are slippery.“

We are now killing babies outside of the womb for the same reasons we kill them inside the womb – because they are mentally or physically challenged, because they are not ‘normal’. Haven’t we tried this before? Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. What a sad world we have created for our children.
