I have been pregnant three times in the past five years, and am presently in my seventh month. I am now ‘showing,’ so that all can see the presence of life within me. And I feel it very strongly now: a kick here, a squirm there. But even in the first month, with fatigue, sometimes nausea, and other hallmarks of early pregnancy, a mother knows something is different. That difference is the presence of life, manifesting itself–if just to Mom alone.
