Pregnant people are not pregnant with babies, they’re pregnant with fetuses.

I receive some variation of this ‘argument’ in my inbox at least weekly. In the interest of preserving bandwidth, I have only attached ten pregnancy announcements available on the internet – there are thousands more, all announcing that mom is carrying a baby (you’ll encounter great difficulty finding fetus announcements)…

I am told that it’s somehow easier to kill a ‘fetus’ than it is to kill a ‘baby’, but if your mind is capable of operating above the 3rd grade level, then you already know that what you call someone has no bearing on their humanity.
