Let me answer each of your statements in order:
why do you dislike abortion?
Because abortion takes the life of a living, innocent human being that possesses rights and dignity.
There is nothing wrong with it.
That’s not an argument, it’s an assertion. It’s precisely the point we disagree upon.
Nothing dies as the result of an abortion.
Are you serious? Even pro-choice advocates and abortionists admit that abortion takes a human life. Here are some examples:
“We know that it’s killing, but the state permits killing under certain circumstances.” – Dr. Neville Sender, abortionist (John Powell, S.J. Abortion: The Silent Holocaust (Argus Communications: Allen, Tx) 1981, p 66)
“No one, neither the patient receiving an abortion, nor the person doing the abortion, is ever, at anytime, unaware that they are ending a life.” -William Harrison, abortionist (“WHY I PROVIDE ABORTIONS” Daily Kos MAY 31, 2007)
“I got to where I couldn’t stand to look at the little bodies anymore.” – Dr. Beverly McMillan, former abortionist
All of a sudden one noticed that at the time of the saline infusion there was a lot of activity in the uterus. That’s not fluid currents. That’s obviously the fetus being distressed by swallowing the concentrated salt solution and kicking violently and that’s to all intents and purposes, the death trauma… somebody has to do it, and unfortunately we are the executioners in this instance[.]” – Dr. John Szenes, abortionist (Magda Denes. “Performing Abortions.” Commentary Magazine, October 1976, pages 33 to 37.)
“We have reached a point in this particular technology (D&E abortion) where there is no possibility of denial of an act of destruction by the operator. It is before one’s eyes. The sensations of dismemberment flow through the forceps like an electric current. ” — Warren Hern’s statement at an Assoc. of Planned Parenthood Physicians meeting in San Diego, Oct. 26, 1978.
If you don’t like abortions, don’t get one.
That’s like saying “If you don’t like slavery, don’t own one.”
