Meet Shivanath and Shivram Sahu of India. These 12-year old brothers may share a single body, but are two separate and distinct human beings. Who we are – our hopes and dreams, our values, our thoughts and our memories – are all stored in our brains. Every single life is worth protecting at every stage of life and each human being deserves the dignity inherent to their humanity.

Shivram: “We don’t wish to get separated. We will stay like this even when we grow old. We want to live as we are. We have taught ourselves everything. We ride to school on a bicycle and playing cricket is no problem.”

Life is what we make of it.
