fetus is the technical term. the scientifically sound term. the technically sound term for a born is “infant”. sometimes called “baby” but baby isn’t scientific. so when people say “we’re having a baby”, it’s future tense. “HAVING a baby.” not “we’re gestating a fully formed infant. luls.” you are a fucking idiot.

Do you really expect anyone listening to your ‘argument’ to believe that people don’t call their unborn children babies? Let’s examine a few examples…

“My baby just kicked.” vs. “My fetus just kicked.”

“Look at my baby’s ultrasound!” vs. “Look at my fetus’ ultrasound.”

“When is your baby due?” vs. “When is your fetus due?”

I could go on and on, but I think you get the point. All of the above statements are used in the PRESENT tense.
