My sympathy for someone who died while killing a child would certainly be less than my sympathy for someone who died while trying to save a child. I would, of course, mourn my own child’s loss, no matter how she died. If she died while trying to kill my grandchild, I would mourn them both. But I would also know that I failed her as a parent if she ever felt the need to slaughter her own child. Just as we have obviously failed the 3,000 plus mothers who kill their unborn children each and every day here in America alone.

The only way to end human abortion is to attack it at the root while simultaneously outlawing its practice. This can only be accomplished by shifting our culture to one that respects all human life, from the very beginning. Someday, killing an unborn child will be just as unthinkable as killing a born child. This is the future I am working to make a reality. This is the future I want our children to inherit.

A plea to win the hearts of those who choose to dehumanize our development and undermine our right to live.
