It was devastating – to both of us. She spent four decades hiding the fact that she killed her daughter. She understands that what she did was wrong and she would do anything to bring my little sister back to life. She is now, of course, Pro-Life, and I have forgiven her for what she has done. We have always been very close and always will be.

My mother was 20 years old when she killed my sister, shortly after Roe v. Wade legalized the slaughter of unborn children. I, like my little sister, was an unplanned pregnancy. My mother was 17 years old when I was conceived. Fortunately, I was born prior to 1973, and was protected by the law. My sister was not so lucky. This is why I fight so hard to reclaim our humanity and to ensure that all human beings are granted an equal Right to Life.

I have dedicated my efforts to save those awaiting their births to my baby sister. She is my shining light – my focus and my motivation. Every human being I save will carry a little piece of my sister’s life with them, even though they will never know it. She will forever be loved and she will never be forgotten.

Her name was Starr.

Stand for Life.

A plea to win the hearts of those who choose to dehumanize our development and undermine our right to live.
