There is a deep rooted desire to bully, oppress, and even kill those weaker than us. It is part of our nature. The ability to suppress these feelings is what makes us civilized. Unfortunately, killing the absolute weakest of all – unborn children – is legal. It’s legal for one reason – human beings awaiting their births are voiceless and unseen, so they are unable to protest their own slaughter.
Why do I tell you this? Because the chances of stopping your friend from killing her twins is slim to none. She has bought into the lie that her children are not real human beings, that they are inhuman objects to be crushed and cut apart on demand and without apology. Because the law, the basis of a civilized society, is telling her that her dark desire to kill her children is acceptable, she has little reason to feel that aborting her babies is wrong – until after they’re gone. Many mothers live with a lifetime of guilt and regret following the slaughter of their children.
