Because those people are already dead and are being sustained by artificial means. Medical science has reached its limits and can do nothing for them. Therefore they are removed from a HOPELESS situation.
People awaiting their birth are in the exact opposite situation. They are being sustained by natural means. Medical science is not required to sustain their lives. Therefore they should not be removed from a HOPEFUL situation.
