Making rape, murder, torture, and child abuse illegal hasn’t stopped these atrocities from occurring. However, making them illegal does accomplish three primary goals:

1. It sets a standard of behavior that we expect from each other as members of a civilized society.

2. It prescribes and meters justice for those who violate these standards.

3. It greatly reduces the occurrence of these atrocities.

I am working to change our culture to one where abortion is unthinkable. The law is a reflection of our culture and it drives compliance with our collective values for those who go astray. But once we truly embrace a culture built on the dignity and value of all human life, parents won’t seek to destroy their unborn children because they could never imagine the horror of exposing them to someone who would brutally slaughter them.

Together, we can make this world a reality.

I\'m sure you\'ve heard this argument before, but have you stopped to consider that blocking legal abortions would not stop abortions? Without legal abortions, those who aren\'t ready for pregnancy or are endangered but their pregnancy would be forced to turn to life-threatening back-alley procedures, potentially ending not one life, but two.
