I am glad that my story can mean something, and if it changed the mind of one 19 year old, then I’ve done something meaningful today. Every child deserves to be loved and wanted, especially by its family; no child should have to have the pre-birth sentiments my son had. His grandparents went on to spoil and adore him, and while I will never tell him what they had said, I won’t forget. His brother was born two years ago and, bizarrely, there were a few comments about how ‘we did it right this time’ (we got married back in 2009), so, insanely, two years and a wedding is all it takes to make a child worth loving from the start and us being congratulated instead of judged and coerced into murder.
