The reason you feel this way is because you are feeling with your ‘gut’. You are not applying reasoning to the equation. You feel that killing a child during their first trimester of life is easier than killing them during their third trimester of life for the same reason it’s easier to drop a bomb from 30,000 feet, killing thousands, than it is to personally push a bayonet through a single person’s heart. The more humanity we apply to killing, the harder it becomes.
That is why we believe an unborn child morphs into a human being worthy of personhood after traveling eight inches through their mother’s vagina – we can see them without imaging technology. We can touch, smell, and hear them. This gives them ‘humanity’. The truth is that they possessed that same humanity prior to their birth. Some just can’t allow themselves to accept this. And those awaiting their birth will continue to die until they do.
Hi, I absolutely LOVE your blog. Its definitely refreshing, and your not afraid to show abortion for what it actually is. Anyway, that said, I have to disagree with you that killing a 1st trimester baby is the same as killing a 3rd trimester baby. Its the same in the sense that they\'re both unique humans who are being terminated but Ive seen a 3rd trimester abortion and it affects me differently than a 1st trimester abortion because of the developmental stage of the baby. Just food for thought.
