I am not against in vitro fertilization. I am against the destruction of the embryos that are abandoned after they are unclaimed by their parents. More human beings are created than are allowed to gestate. No matter their size or location, a human being is a human being. In fact, 95% of all human beings created through this process are killed through abandonment or medical research.
Each or our lives began at the moment of our fertilization. This is also true of those fertilized outside of their mother’s reproductive tract. Their deaths are just as real as any one else’s death. We accept their systematic destruction for the same reason many accept traditional abortion – they are unseen without the aid of technology. In their case, this technology is a microscope. In the case of a traditional abortion, this technology is an ultrasound.
