During a traffic jam on the 836 expressway near Miami, a Florida woman realized that her 5-month-old nephew, Sebastion de la Cruz, had stopped breathing. He was born early and had respiratory issues according to the Miami Herald.

When aunt Pamela Rauseo saw him turning blue, she leaped from her car and screamed for help before unbuckling the little infant and performing CPR on the side of the road. While Rauseo did rescue breathing, a nearby police officer ran over and pumped his small chest.

Contrast this beautiful and compassionate effort to save this child’s life with the fact that this exact same child could have been legally dismembered in the womb just a few months earlier.

We fight so hard for human life when it can be seen and touched, but so easily destroy it when hidden away. Why?
