So tell me. What would happen if abortion was illegal around the world? Would everything be happy-go-lucky? Would every problem dealing with abortion be solved?

If murder were illegal around the world, would everything be happy-go-lucky? Oh, it is illegal. Guess that answers that question.

The world will never be ‘happy-go-lucky’ so long as abortion pervades our sense of what is right and what is wrong. We will never be free of murder, torture, rape, child abuse, assault, and warfare so long as we are willing to kill our own sons and daughters out of our own self interest.

You see, we cannot change the current state of our world until we change the way we view human life. We cannot continue to tell our children that they can and should kill their unborn sons and daughters if they are inconvenient, unwanted, or ‘abnormal’. How can we then expect these young people to respect and value the lives of others they are far less intimate with? How can we expect them to change the world they have inherited for the better when the cancer of abortion is eating away at their morals and values?

You see, we cannot change the world without changing our culture. Real change must begin with the root cause – a failure to value all human life equally as much as we value our own, beginning at the moment that life is formed. The root cause of abortion is selfishness. The sooner we adopt a culture of self sacrifice for the good of others, the sooner we will end the sadness and depravity of human abortion and all of the other human failings it spawns.
