A Plea to Destigmatize Abortion

I respect your opinions and your ideas, please know this, but I find it quite appalling that you will speak directly to women who are coping with their past abortions. You say to be decent to the life of children, but please have some decency for these women. The choice they made has passed, and you should not attack them; it is the same as badgering the man who went through rehab as to why he drank so much. If you wish to discuss, then discuss with women who are considering, not her past choice.

The most push-back I get is when I confront women who tell the world their story about how they killed their prenatal child and why it was the right thing to do. So why do I do this? Because the ultimate objective of the pro-abortion movement is to destigmatize the killing of the preborn members of our human family. And what’s the most effective means of doing this? Tell as many people about your abortion as often as you can to seek compassion and empathy while continuing to advocate for the choice of others to kill their children. If a woman posts about regretting her abortion and respects the life she stole away AND clearly no longer supports this depraved act, I will be her biggest supporter.

You will notice a pattern in my responses to mothers who killed their children in the womb: the truth. I simply tell them the truth about what they have done. If this truth hurts, then perhaps it demonstrates something important — that abortion actually is immoral and wrong.

If elective induced abortion is not the intentional killing of an innocent living human child, what is the issue? Why all of the guilt, shame, and remorse? I will tell you why…

• ABORTION IS AN EPIDEMIC OF HUMAN DEPRAVITY THAT HAS HIT OUR LITTLE GIRLS THE HARDEST THROUGH SEX-SELECTION.
• ABORTION IS THE WORST FORM OF ABLEISM IN PRACTICE TODAY RESULTING IN THE GENOCIDE OF PEOPLE WITH DOWN SYNDROME, TREACHER COLLINS, SPINA BIFIDA, AND OTHER GENETIC DISORDERS.
• ABORTION TEACHES OUR CHILDREN THAT SELF IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN SACRIFICE RESULTING IN THE DETERIORATION OF OUR MOST IMPORTANT VALUES.
• ABORTION VIOLATES OUR RIGHT TO LIFE, THE MOST BASIC HUMAN RIGHT WE POSSESS.
• ABORTION IS OUR FINAL HOLOCAUST AND IT HAS REACHED EPIDEMIC PROPORTIONS.

Finally, confronting these women is not the same as confronting a drunk who went through rehab. A rehabilitated alcoholic is not trying to destigmatize alcoholism and even if he was, alcoholism is not the direct killing of innocent human beings. Abortion is. And it must be relentlessly challenged and opposed every step of the way no matter when or where it raises its ugly head.
