Outside the womb: Your life is so precious, don’t ever doubt that. You are perfect and special and important.
Inside the womb: You’re just a meaningless clump of cells. You are nothing. You are worthless. I can pay to have you killed and it’s entirely legal.
So tell me, when did I suddenly become important? What did I do to “earn” my place in this world? I started off as that single cell. My whole life was that single cell. That was my DNA, and my DNA only. It wasn’t my mother’s, it wasn’t my father’s, it was mine. I was me from the moment I was conceived. So tell me, why was it legal to kill me then, but illegal to kill me now?
