picklerelish:

I’ve never understood why a distinction is made between rape and incest when talking about exceptions for which abortion should be allowed. If the incest is non-consensual, it’s rape, and the distinction isn’t necessary.

If the incest occurs between two consenting adults, and an exception is still made, then apparently there is something so wrong with children borne of incest that sanctity of human life doesn’t apply to them.

And if sanctity of human life doesn’t apply to all fetuses, you have a major problem.

You are right, we would have a major problem if your premise were true. The fact is that every human being is equal. Every single one of us holds the same value as any other, regardless of our race, religion, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, age, level of dependency, stage of life, or the manner of our conception.

Ii is irrelevant who’s DNA fused to form you. Whether your mother is also your aunt or your dad also serves as your grandfather, your value is not diminished. You do not deserve to be killed because of a social taboo. Intelligent people rise above superstition and taboos. Now they must rise above the misapplication of sociology and psychology. There is NEVER a good enough reason to kill an innocent human being.
