Saw your post about adoption and just was wondering, how many children have you personally adopted/how many do you plan on adopting? Would you adopt a child of color? How about an older child? How about a child with a severe disability? A child with emotional issues and behavior problems? A child who was born addicted to drugs because his mother was using drugs during pregnancy? If your answer is no to any of those, you need to stop preaching and get off your high horse.

I plan to adopt in the future. I currently have three children that are making their way into the world and I will help them to adopt children as well. I most definitely would adopt a child of any race, disability, age, behavioral issue, or addiction. Life is a challenge. How could raising a struggling child ever be harder than the struggle itself?
Any mother who would abort her own son or daughter because they are not ‘perfect’ in an effort to avoid the challenge and expense of raising her child is the embodiment of selfishness. Never let yourself be fooled into the belief that these mothers kill their mentally or physically disabled children out of ‘mercy’. They kill them to avoid the burden of having to raise and care for them. This is the simple and ugly truth.
