I’m glad I found a pro-lifer okay with birth control as I am. Someone who thinks life should be the only option and yet thinks keeping sperm from joining with ovum is as bad as abortion (I have met people like this actually) obviously doesn’t care or just don’t know how birth control works.

I agree. If you are pro-life, you should support every form of non-abortifacient birth control that works to prevent male and female haploid DNA carriers from fusing. Until sperm and ovum meet, there is no life in need of protecting.
Of course, abortifacients should be opposed every step of the way. These forms of ‘birth control’ either prevent the already conceived child from implanting into his or her mother’s endometrium or forces this life-giving bond to break, resulting in the death of an innocent child.
