A Pro-Choice Essay: Unraveling the Insanity of Abortion

I am definitely pro-choice. I am writing a paper on why abortion should be legal, and one of my supporting reasons is that abortion is not murder (which I totally agree with) but I am having trouble with actual reasons as to why it isn’t murder? Like, I need actual facts, not just that it’s “just a fetus” if that makes sense? Can you give me actual reasons, or link me to some good sources? Thank you.

Of course, definitions don’t exactly hold up in a debate (or a paper), so that might not help much.

I would suggest picking a different supporting reason – what others do you have?

What are you even talking about?? You seriously need to leave this debate because you are completely deluded. And I mean COMPLETELY. You will not find an abortionist who will tell you that they are not killing the child growing inside of the mother who paid them to ‘service’ their ‘medical condition’. Stop lying to yourself and more importantly, stop lying to others. People committing abortions most definitely have every intention of doing harm. Seriously, this has to be one of the top three most ridiculous claims I have ever heard from an abortion advocate.

Abortion is not technically murder for only one reason — it is, unfortunately, legal. It is, however, the intentional killing of an innocent living human being. In other words, it absolutely fits the definition of homicide.

Some more to think about:

• Bodily autonomy of the prenatal child: They have a body and it should be protected, along with their life.
• Health: Over 99% of abortions are performed on healthy mothers with healthy babies. An prenatal child with a cleft lip is still healthy, although many of them are killed through abortion. Nine out of ten Down syndrome children are killed in the womb. Disability does not define health.
• Making abortions illegal will definitely lead to unsafe illegal abortions: This is like saying we should make rape legal because making rape illegal only leads to unsafe rapes.

Abortion is the intentional slaughter or poisoning of a prenatal child. Nothing more. Nothing less.
