southern-feminism:

An example of a planned and wanted pregnancy that was sadly terminated (although it was the right choice for this specific couple). Not all abortions are unplanned and unwanted pregnancies, so even if you do believe that consent to sex is consent to pregnancy, abortion still isn’t the “easy way out.” This woman wanted her pregnancy more than anything, but she terminated it for the sake of the child.

This is absolutely NOT A DEVASTATING STORY that should change anyone’s mind about the depravity of human abortion. My son was born with spina bifida and he had corrective surgery following birth. Although he still experiences minor challenges to this day, he is happy to be here and we are happy to have him. He has been a joy since his conception and is currently a freshman in college.

My cousin also gave birth to a little girl with spina bifida and she, too, had corrective surgery. She is so beautiful and full of life.

See this post that shows a child who had corrective surgery for his spina bifida WHILE STILL INSIDE THE WOMB and lives a life filled with the love of a family that never gave up on him. Would you have killed this child or put in the extra effort to save him?

Killing a child because they may experience challenges says more about those doing the killing than it ever will about the ‘imperfect’ child. And using ‘mercy’ as an excuse to kill your child is a BALD FACED LIE. The only person you are truly concerned about is YOU. Would you want someone to kill you because you may be less than perfect? Abortion is NEVER the right choice. Abortion kills a real living human being, a person just as real as we were while in the womb and just as real as we are today.
