To that person arguing against adoption: An adopted child grows up knowing their mother didn’t want them? Right, ok. Fuck you. I’m adopted. My mother chose to give me a chance at being raised in a loving family that could provide better than she could instead of killing me painfully. I’m here today because of that, and my MOM, my REAL MOM that adopted me, wanted me VERY MUCH. If you’re adopted, you’ll always know your parents wanted you a whole stinking lot. They actually had to go through a lot of effort to GET you. So what if I was an accident? Does that give me any less of a right to live than you? Should I have been killed by my own mother instead of given the chance at life and a loving family?

Which society would you rather live in? One where people sacrifice of themselves for others or one where people sacrifice others for themselves? This adoptee clearly knows the answer to this question. Do you?

A plea to win the hearts of those who choose to dehumanize our development and undermine our right to live.
