The choice to protect life is truly an act of heroism. A woman, I think, is deemed a hero when in the face of societal opinions, and economic and emotional downfall she still chooses to save a life. In no way can the act of abortion be considered courageous. Fear of economic burden, rejection by peers, emotional strife, and personal physical suffering seem to induce some to make the decision to abort. Life is hard but it is meant to be lived. Life is always celebrated and death always brings sadness. We don’t have to be heroes for the whole world, but the least we could do is be the hero for a new emerging life.

It’s not simply about heroism. If it is, that’s a really shitty, really selfish way to look at it. “I’ll be a hero if I raise this child, even if I do not have the mental capacity, the resources, the emotional stability, or the support structure needed for a healthy childhood!” No.

It’s about responsibility. Choosing to get an abortion is strong and courageous, because it’s a hugely responsible choice that carries great stigma.

“With great power comes great responsibility.”

This is the most absurd claim I have ever heard about abortion. You are claiming that killing one’s own child is responsible and courageous? You are completely confused about basic human values. Have you ever heard of the concepts of sacrifice and selflessness? Compassion and empathy? Responsibility and accountability?

Aborting a living human being is about irresponsibility and selfishness. It’s about cowardice and cruelty. It is the most depraved act a mother can commit. It’s sick, disturbing, and vile.

The power to kill another innocent human being should never belong to anyone. When this ‘power’ is legally granted, it never fails to lead to mass human slaughter. Abortion is an epidemic and eclipses all other human atrocities combined. Only a sad and sick mind would believe that killing a weak and vulnerable child is ‘strong and courageous’.

“The greater the power, the more dangerous the abuse.”

A plea to win the hearts of those who choose to dehumanize our development and undermine our right to live.
