Today in one of my classes we discussed why we think abortion is still such a debated about issue when 1/3 of women will have one in her life. I think it is silence. We don’t talk about it so it seems like this thing that other people do. When there is no face to put it with, it becomes easier to demonize.
So I decided that I will no longer be silent. I am that 1 in 3. I had an abortion. And I am going to work to end the stigma that comes along with me saying that.
So if you have any questions, feel free to ask. From now on I will be happy to answer them.

I am also 1 in 3 and I’m proud to be surrounded with a community of post-abortive people who are speaking up and speaking out.

Abortion is debated because it is the cruel and unjust slaughter of living human beings. You killed your own child and now you want to shout it to the world. You want to tell everyone you can how you destroyed your own son or daughter. A child who would be here right now, living his or her life, enjoying the things you get to enjoy everyday. But you robbed them of that.
You want to end the stigma that comes along with abortion. I can assure you that WILL NEVER HAPPEN. Many people, myself included, do not see a prenatal child as any different than a born child. If someone told you that they killed their two year old little girl, would that help remove the stigma of their act? When you tell me and others like me that you killed your baby, it devastates and enrages us. I have nothing but contempt for people like you who not only kill a beautiful living child but feel the need to advertise your depraved act across the internet.
You obviously had NO LOVE for your child and have no moral compass. People like you sadden me and make my stomach churn. If you regret your decision to kill and now embrace life, I could forgive you. But you not only butchered your child, you advocate for others to butcher their children. And this is unforgivable. Please reconsider what you are doing. Abortion kills real human beings. Just because you cannot see them does not mean they aren’t real and deserving of the same human right to live that you were afforded.
Abortion is a sickness of character and a cancer on our culture. It’s a crime against humanity and the greatest human atrocity of our time.
