Question and Answer

Considering your definition of when life begins, what do you propose we do about the rate of miscarriage? Around 75% of zygote-stage fetuses fail to implant, so that’s a more than 75% rate of miscarriage world-wide. This overwhelming rate of miscarriage kills far more babies than abortion. How would one ensure that a couple trying to conceive kill as few babies as possible in the process? Do you think that couples should be considered responsible for these deaths?

Miscarriage is a natural occurrence and no one is to blame. The actual estimates of miscarried children are more like 50%, not 75%.

Induced abortion ends a viable pregnancy. Abortion is used to intentionally kill a living human being that is on his or her natural path to birth.
