“I do not believe that just because you’re opposed to abortion, that makes you pro-life. In fact, I think in many cases, your morality is deeply lacking if all you want is a child born but not a child fed, not a child educated, not a child housed. And why would I think you don’t? Because you don’t want any tax money to go there. That’s not pro-life. That’s pro-birth. We need a much broader conversation on what the morality of pro-life is.”

No morality can ever matter if we believe it’s moral to kill an innocent prenatal child. Once you kill another human being to satisfy your own selfish needs, what morality can you possibly have left?
The pro-life community does care deeply about born children as well. We simply must focus on keeping them alive first. A dead child doesn’t need an education. Stopping abortion is triage, improving education is preventative medicine. Pro-life advocates are working in the emergency room to save lives. We care about all of the other issues surrounding quality of life, but maintaining a beating heart must be our first priority.
