Every time you say you would make your raped child carry her pregnancy to term, a little bit of me dies inside. You have made it so absolutely clear that you give no value at all to the lives of the already-born. You have no problem with their suffering, or their potential spiritual or physical death. The only thing you care about is seeing more children born.
You are so wrong about me. All innocent human life is precious and deserves to be protected, preborn and born alike. You and I were prenatal children at one time, awaiting our turn to join this amazing and beautiful world, with all of its challenges and joys alike.
If you valued preborn human life as much as you do post-born human life, you would understand my position. If everyone thought this way, there would be no mental anguish or feelings of shame for bearing a child conceived in rape. You and people like you are why mothers who find themselves pregnant following the tragedy of rape feel like they need to add to the tragedy by killing the child that is growing inside of them. The child, like his or her mother, is completely innocent. They will, I assure you, find comfort in each other later in life.
