An Education On Discrimination

anonymous:

At my school in New Zealand, if a girl becomes pregnant she has to leave once she begins showing, which is usually between the 3rd/4th month. So it is quite literally impossible to continue education once pregnant here. And since they would miss around 9 or 10 months of school, they’re pretty much doomed in terms of getting NCEA (our countries diploma) even if they do decide to come back. Which means they will most likely never get a job, because most jobs, even macdonalds, requires NCEA level 2.

cultureshift:

Denying a woman her education because she is pregnant is a violation of her human rights and you should work tirelessly to have that policy changed, not advocate for killing another innocent human being as a way to work around that policy.
