Pro-lifers are really something, aren’t they? You’re all in favor of the unborn. You’ll do anything for the unborn. But once they’re born, they’re on their own. Pro-lifers are obsessed with the fetus from conception to nine months. After that, you don’t want to know about them. You don’t want to hear from them. No nothing. No neonatal care, no day care, no head start, no school lunch, no food stamps, no welfare, no nothing. If you’re preborn, you’re fine; but if you’re preschool, you’re fucked.
I, along with the vast majority of the pro-life community, fully support programs designed to assist those less fortunate, especially young struggling mothers who need help to feed and care for their children. I, like you, pay an enormous amount in taxes. I also give to charities that focus on the living such as the Spina Bifida Association, Feed the Children, The Salvation Army, Goodwill, and various other emergency relief organizations.
I will become a foster parent and/or adopt within the next few years. I have already offered to adopt a woman’s child who had an abortion scheduled, but she decided death was better for her son or daughter than to have to think about them being with another family.
And that is what I ultimately want to change. The entire concept that killing an innocent human being is acceptable because of how someone else feels about them or their future. Killing prenatal children is just as wrong as killing neonatal children. Every argument for killing the preborn, except bodily autonomy, can be applied to killing newborns or toddlers.
Myself and others who are pro-life do care about people at all stages of life, to include pregnant mothers. But the focus and priority must be on the ones currently being slaughtered by the thousands each and every day. Remember, you were once a prenatal child and there was someone like me fighting for your right to be born, fighting for your right to life.
People like me love, empathize, and speak for the children facing death by abortion. Do you really want to take that away from them?
